This course provides instruction in the principles and practices of clinical hematology at the medical laboratory technician level. Topics include hematopoiesis, hemoglobin, Complete Blood Count, blood cell morphology, routine hematologic testing, and coagulation. Laboratory exercises emphasize specimen handling, manual and automated procedures, and accurate microscopic evaluation of blood cells.
