This course provides instruction in the principles and practices of clinical chemistry at the medical laboratory technician level. Topics include instrumentation, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, heme derivatives, non-protein nitrogen compounds, enzymes, and vitamins. Laboratory exercises emphasize specimen handling, manual and automated procedures, and visualizing molecules.
